I have heard that Camp Chaverim is supposed to be more well-rounded in terms of activities and not sports heavy. I have a few friends that have sent boys there that were very happy.
I think my son is too young for yoreh daya as he is only going into 8th grade.
Anyone have more info about chaverim in terms of what kind of homes the boys come from ( in terms of their exposure to media) and rules as far as what they are allowed to bring that may be a negative influence ( secular books, music players with fm capability, other devices, etc)?
Following. My son needs same but he’s entering 10th. Chaverim looks well run based on their website and the masmidim program looks interesting. Staff seems to be Baltimore based. Anyone know if Lakewood boys go there ?

The boys I know that went there are from good, solid hashkafos OOT homes. I have no idea if it attracts kids from Lakewood, sorry
