Have you tried through the kupa? Which one do you have? The Maccabi orthodontist in Beit Shemesh/RBS is actually very good.

What is his name and do you know what type of savings it is?
I've always heard to keep away from kupa dentists and orthodontists.

Dr. Roi Hagar (maybe Haber?)
It's 50% off with maccabi sheli.
I am honestly thrilled with his care. He is creative and humble (not afraid to change plans and always respectful of my opinion and questions)

what does 50% off come to?
does he only do standard braces?
was he recommended to you by others?
does anyone else have experience with him?

We got a palate expander and 6 months of braces for 3500. The full price was 7000 ₪. It depends on what you need. As far as I know he does everything. First he sees what you need then he gives a price. The price above included all the appointments and materials, x rays were separate. You really need to go to a consult and get a quote it's totally individual. As far as I know, all of my friends and neighbors have been happy with him.

I don’t know anything about dentists or orthodontists in RBS but we are using maccabi dent for orthodontist for one of my kids.
I’m paying 8k for the entire thing (through Maccabi sheli) after a private doctor quoted us 21k - so close to a third less.

Is Dr. Links an orthodontist?
I heard that he's a dentist that does braces so I'm a bit confused.

Yes, he is a dentist who does braces. His father was an orthodontist.

Most of the orthodontists at the kupah are also dentists who do braces. If you are going to go to an Israeli orthodontist, make sure they are a mumcheh. Otherwise, they are a dentist who does braces.

That is why I recommended Dr. Gherman. He is an American trained orthodontist. My child goes to him and I am really happy.

Are you saying that you don't recommend Dr Links? I'm confused because so many people recommend him on Facebook.

Is there a Dr Lebovitz who is under Maccabi?
Does anyone have any other recommendations as I'm still confused about how to proceed.
Thank you.

We recently did a palate expander with Dr. Adena Goldman at Biut Hashen (at Lev Harama - who accepts maccabi). She is American and American trained, professional, and absolutely lovely, and did a great job for my son. We plan to go back to her for my daughter's braces soon. I think the price for palate expander was comparable to what was quoted above in maccabident.
I assume that you can check out a couple of orthodontists (and get quotes) before deciding who to use for braces.

Did you get a discount from Maccabi or is she private?
