Love the poster. So true. We're getting our own show now.
I also realized as I read the fanfic that when you write IYH my brain substitutes Im Yirtzeh Hashem. I realized I was doing that halfway through the dialog with your boss

Artificial Intelligence vs G-d

Excerpt: You know, I am really easy to beat. Even without artificial intelligence. A simple hand calculator can do math faster than I can. A mosquito can fly, and I can't. Cockroaches can survive disasters better than any human. You can probably parallel park better than I can. It stands to reason that a computer could be trained to do things better than I possibly could. Although chat GPT has yet to be helpful to me in writing a single post. But. Maybe it could make everyone else on Substack obsolete.

Love this essay!
I had no idea that the Eliezer Yudkowsky who wrote one of the most thought provoking Harry Potter fanfics I've read is also an AI researcher who fears the dangers of AI.

He grew up frum and went OTD. On the internet, he's actually best known for Less Wrong, his website on rationality, which he believes is the answer to all the worlds problems. I find it fascinating that he, of all people, sounds more apocalyptic than any religious leader I have ever heard.

Thank you Rebbetzin Fastag for explaining this with such clarity. I once heard a shiur where the Rov recounted being verbally berated by an aino yehudi (but seemingly religiously devout) nurse for daring to name their child Penina - how could they!
I personally have been called upon to defend my choosing to DS "Dovid" - don't I know what a "wicked" person his namesake is?
(and yet Nimrod is regarded as a fine name. Go figure)
