My husband preps all of them. Trying to picture him prepping his and then telling everyone to fly a kite. Why would any man not prep all since he has to do his anyway?

My kids do it themselves, including the toddlers. They light with candles, not oil.

Growing up my mother always prepared my father's as he came home from work later than when the rest of us lit. And I sometimes prepare my husband's and sometimes not.

They do their own candles. They get to light oil when they can prepare it

Everyone. That is, dh and/or I and/or the kids themselves. They are still small, so they need help on and off.

Generally either myself or one of the kids, husband is hardly home while we’re preparing the candles, actually he’s not always home when we light either, but if he is home in time to light, he prefers the candles are all set up and ready to go at the zman.

DH preps his menorah. Older kids prep theirs. Younger kids that need help, get help from myself, DH, or older siblings.

They each do it themselves. If they're old enough to light, they're old enough to prepare the candles.
Sometimes DS will even prepare DH's menorah.

The kids who light candles prepare theirs in the morning, almost first thing when they wake up. It's like this every year, IIRC.
Oil is prepared just before candle-lighting, by whichever parent is doing the preparations that night.

My boys do theirs and my husbands- one does the wicks and one does the oil. My husband does the candles for the girls.

Everyone lights oil and my husband preps them all. Every year I ask if he wants to get the prefilled cups and he always says no.

Exactly! Even more, one of mine who lights oil actually prepared his for the next night before going to sleep after that night's wicks went out.

Why do your want or offer the prefilled cups?

Who says "dh has to"prepare his own? Whoever is home and has the time does it. Usually me. Also depends on how old the kid is. Obviously we're not letting a four-year-old do his own.
