Don't want to do the usual meal I make of kugel deli roll chulent etc... What unique ideas do you have? I am making both Friday night and Shabbat lunch.

Friday night
Challah
Chumus/Babaganouj on the table
Platter with cigars, bourekas, and Israeli salad
Butternut squash soup and mandlen
Meatballs and rice
Salad with Apples, honey nuts, and cranberries
Potato and Noodle Kugel
Cut fruit
Candy platters
Hot Apple crumble with pareve vanilla ice cream
Saturday
Challah
Appetizer: Angel Hair pasta topped with teriyaki salmon
Grilled chicken
Rice Salad
Chulent
Brownie/chocolate mousse plate
Candy platters
Fruit
Shalasheudus was at the shul
