Hi,
I’m wondering if anyone could help me. Over the years I’ve bought my son Nike new balance and under Armour. The last few pairs have fallen apart within the first few weeks. Does anyone have a specific recommendation for a specific sneaker that has been holding up recently
TIA

This has to do more with your son/his walk, then with the brand. Some kids kill shoes faster than others.

Thanks for the recommendations I have not tried either of those brands yet. I don’t think it has to do with his walk because he used to wear his sneakers for at least six months but since 2020 I feel like the shoes have gone down in quality

Was going to say same… all depends on how hard the kid is on the sneakers, running, etc

Yes, unfortunately everything has gone down in quality. Which is why I don't spend on shoes. I'd rather buy cheap and replace more often. I actually got my kids sneakers from target for $15.99 and they lasted beautifully throughout the season, they never tore and were able to be used another season if they would fit. The expensive sneakers looked shabby after afew weeks.

Our adidas don't usually fall apart too fast.

New balance and skechers work well for my boys, and they're very tough on their shoes.

Go to foot locker and ask for boy proof shoes. Ds tore through 2 pairs of new balance, a pair of Nikes, under Armours, and adidas in the course of a year. The under Armours broke right away. The whole thing came apart. The Nikes didn't last much longer. The new balance and adidas held up for a few months. I asked the staff at foot locker for a pair of boy proof sneakers. They asked what I meant, and I explained that we need a pair of shoes that could handle playing basketball in the snow, football in the mud, sliding bases on concrete, etc. For 2 years in a row, ds wore Kyries and had no issues. Once he started high school, he only wore sneakers in camp so it didn't have to be so strong.

My boys will only wear nikes so I don’t have any other choice. I replace their sneakers about 4 times a year, I’m ok with that

If your son is hard on shoes do not get him Geox!
The quality really went down in recent years and they barely hold up past a few weeks before starting to fall apart.
Ricosta brand is expensive but has held up for my boys for close to a year!!
Another brand I have had success with was E-rock.

I literally buy the cheapest sneakers I can find and replace them every few months. The current $15 pair from SheIn is holding up pretty well.

My son used to wear Geox it lasted 6 months. Target shoes on him in comparison lasted 3 weeks before the sole was rubbed out and the front was smashed. The. He got a little older and Geox was not sporty enough for him. So we got him nikes. It lasted 4 months. Then Adidas in 2 half month the exterior was looking awful and damaged but the shoe survived about the same as the addidas maybe a few weeks longer. We now switched to one of the heimish brands. I forgot which but it has lasted and through the summer plus. He's an active child the shoe looks bery good. The only issue we had was the velcro. The front, sole and exterior are fully intact. The trick is to try not let these shoes get wet and if it does it should be pulled off right away.

That's good for an older kid. My 4 year old knows his shoes shouldn't get wet he even tries to avoid deep puddles. But the fact that it'll get wet once the hose turns on. Or the fact that soon it's going to rain ☔.
Not so much.
Also doesn't have patience taking them off once they do get wet.
