I need to remember to start keeping eggs in the fridge again….I was running out the door so I didn’t have time to make anything. I grabbed some strawberries and some grapes. It’ll have to hold me over until I get home, around 5:00ish I hope….
Also, I’ve been using the MyNetDiary app, and I just noticed it gives everything a grade as well as logging!! That’s good too, so I know if what I’m eating is good, decent, bad….

My food today:
Coffee and almond milk
Breakfast: shakshuka and 2 Ezekiel bread slices
Snack:
Handful almonds and an orange
I went off plan and had 3 oat bran pretzels (not whole grain)
Lunch: Salmon, greens and half a small avocado
Dinner:
Chicken breast breaded in almond flour and fried in olive oil with either :
Brown rice and veggies , farro and veggies or in a 1/2 whole wheat pita filled with veggies and drizzled with techina. Haven’t decided yet.
I’ve been drinking more water than usual. Yay me. But I hate waking up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom!

So far,
Breakfast: tea with Splend and a splash of milk, banana, handful of trail mix (dried fruit and nuts)
Lunch: canned tomatoes, avocado (which I think was off 😬), and mozzarella cheese
Snack: tiny bag of trail mix
Drank about 1/2 of my 32oz water bottle. Keep having to run to the bathroom, which is difficult at work (and home with kids 😅)
Question: is there a benefit to using rice in place of pasta and other carbs? I feel like it's still a starch...

I think avocado is good!
The running to the bathroom gets better with time.
I do think white rice is better than pasta because it's less processed, same with potato, though brown rice is a better option.
Keep up the great work!!!!

No benefit, they’re all the same carbs. If youre staying on carbs, whole wheat pasta is better than regular, same with bread,
and sweet potato is better than white.

It is more expensive than junk but well worth it. If you don’t have health, you have nothing.
I change things up and I’m good with it because like I said, this plan kills hunger and cravings.
There are so many options. I do lots of different salads, different ways to prepare hot veggies ie kugels, roasted… lots of choices with proteins.

Carbs cause hunger. So does sugar. The more you eat it the more you crave it.

Absolutely!
Also, take into consideration everything you aren't eating, and maybe you're eating less. It's probably still more expensive, but not that much. I'm saving on snacks and junk, and spending on proteins and veggies.

Thanks.
Regarding the avocado, it tasted off, lol. I know it's healthy 😉

Today I earned points for exercise, but lost points for water drinking. I'm not even sure how much I drank, but definitely not my goal. Tomorrow will be better. I really should try making timer...
Food was surprisingly good, even though I didn't get to eat a salad before my kids came home, and once they're home they all want to share. I skipped the salad and instead had just cherry tomatoes. It was fine because it was close enough to supper.

Looks like you’re not eating enough substantial foods. Eating too little can also slow down weight loss. How about some more proteins? Are you drinking?

It felt redundant to post every day since my days are pretty similar.
*I'm aiming to drink 8+ cups of water a day, starting with lemon water in the morning.
*Intermittent fasting, so I'm only eating lunch, snack, supper.
*Lunch is usually a salad with half avocado & 1 Tbsp dressing and a protein (baked salmon, tuna or hard-boiled eggs)
*Snack is usually popcorn.
*Supper is soup (I try for lentil or split pea so it's very filling), protein & vegetables.
*I also usually have a coffee sometime during the day with about a tsp of coconut sugar & a bit of milk.
OP, how's it going on your end?

My daily menu:
Coffee with xylitol.
2 sunny side up eggs with tomatoes, spinach, and mushrooms, plus one slice of whole wheat bread for brunch. Yum!
Grapefruit and string cheese for a snack.
Grilled cutlets and roasted veggies - sweet potatoes, cauliflower (too expensive to have much sadly), string beans, etc.
Desert can be frozen fruits, tea, dietetic chocolate.
Lost two pounds in a week. Decent.
