Lost two pounds in a week. Decent.

2 pounds a week is nice. Do you care to share if you have a lot to lose?

It’s actually 1.5 by now - I’ve regained a bit. I have about 30 pounds to lose but only aiming to lose 10 or 15 at this point lol.

I’ve noticed I lose more weight on days when I do exercise. I like doing as many squats as I can with weights, plus some other exercise. I watch YouTube videos that guide me sometimes. Really recommend doing exercise! It helps my mood and makes me feel inspired to eat healthily.

Thanks for letting me know 2 pounds is good btw - I was feeling discouraged about it because I went back up in weight.

We shouldn't be weighing ourselves more than once or twice a week. It's something I need to work on...

I'm convinced I see a difference in days I exercise too!

Who else is still on board?

I've been trying to lose weight since November. So far down 13 lbs (some times have been better than others lol) I still have 20 to go before I can even look at myself. Had a baby a few months ago and now am at 153 (AFTER I lost the 13 lbs G-d bless) I'm usually in the 130s (short but busty) and looking for exercises to help with that, in addition to hoping the numbers drop.
Today I had oatmeal (I think lol -it was in the am) and some healthy cookies and soup for dinner (around 5) trying to have my eating cutoff around 6 as well so no snacking etc...of course that's a work in progress as well. And hoping to exercise tonight!

Wow 6 lbs is amazing. Are you not hungry until supper? I would be starving on that menu.
I see you also cut out carbs completely

Skyblue, I'm so happy for you!

Unfortunately, I let go this weekend. After a nice weight loss the previous week, I didn't lose anything from Tuesday to Friday, so that weakened my control. Will be back on tomorrow iy"H.

I'm going to be dress shopping for a wedding soon and really want to be out of plus sizes then!

I think you may be weighing too often
What do you mean you lost more on days you exercise?

All the pros recommend not to weigh more than once a week

It felt redundant to post every day since my days are pretty similar.

*I'm aiming to drink 8+ cups of water a day, starting with lemon water in the morning.
*Intermittent fasting, so I'm only eating lunch, snack, supper.
*Lunch is usually a salad with half avocado & 1 Tbsp dressing and a protein (baked salmon, tuna or hard-boiled eggs)
*Snack is usually popcorn.
*Supper is soup (I try for lentil or split pea so it's very filling), protein & vegetables.
*I also usually have a coffee sometime during the day with about a tsp of coconut sugar & a bit of milk.

OP, how's it going on your end?

Hanging in, thanks for asking.
I had some carbs over the weekend and boy did I feel the difference! The cravings started and it was like I couldn’t feel satisfied.
Trying not to get down on myself and I’m right back on today.
Walked for half hour, did my bike for half hour and I’m eating right again.
Glad to be able to share here,
How was everyone else’s weekend?

I dont eat any challa on shabbos only matzah. That makes a big difference. Also sometimes you dont see the weight down one week and then the next week it's down more.

We had a conference at work with lots of yummy carbs 😕 I was proud of my self control to only take a small serving, but hope to get on better track for the rest of the week. Also doing better with drinking more water. And I think I lost a bit over a pound last week

I'm so glad we're back up, I was getting worried this thread is dying.

I really have to remember this:

Looking forward to more success this week!

I noticed that too
But it’s so discouraging during the weeks you don’t see any movement

Thank you for educating me! I’m going to try to only do it once a week. It was so depressing to check every day.

I’m back to my original weight after having some carbs and not exercising. So annoying! I hope I won’t need to diet for the rest of my life to keep the weight off.

Do NOT weigh yourself daily. Weight fluctuates greatly day to day based on if you have your period, water weight, muscle gain, etc. Try to only do it once a week.

Take progress photos once a month - you can see a difference even if you're not losing weight. You can also take body measurements which go down before weight does.
