I know avacado is haetz and technically a fruit so it's probably a different category. But it's also considered a green leafy vegetable? (Trying to go off those and want to know if this is included)

No. It really is a fruit and would be counted as a healthy fat.

Avocado grows on a tree, and you eat the fruit, not the leaves.

I think of a leafy green vegetable, as one where you eat the leaves; spinach, arugula, bok choy, lettuce, cabbage etc

Do you have to stay away from oxalates? Or what is your reason for going off leafy greens?
Because avocado is high in oxalates even if it’s not a leafy green. Iceberg lettuce is low oxalate even though it’s technically a green leaf.

A green leafy vegetable looks like a green leaf. An avocado is green, but is not a leaf.
