I don't go to simchas or social events.
DH is home when I go to the mikvah (now into he winter he can still get to night seder when I come home. In the summer he skips night seder on Mik night).
For PTA only one of us goes. Dh goes to the rebbeim and I go to the morahs.
I don't usually go out. PTA - one of us will go, the other will be home. Simchos - we switch off or just one of us goes. Mikva - DH comes home earlier than usual. Date night - I'm too exhausted by the time DH comes home. During the day is easier (BH for flexible jobs).
Money aside, I gave up on finding a reliable babysitter years ago.
