Someone on the other thread said that Lakewood agencies pay 75 an hour. Is this accurate? Can speech therapists chime in which agency they work for how much they get paid for school based therapy?

The only thing I can tell you which I mentioned on the other thread is an agency offered me 65 and said that is TOP they go and only offered me that much because I had a specific niche.

You’re confusing office jobs and therapists. Office jobs are higher paid in Lakewood, therapists are higher paid in Brooklyn.

Lakewood pays way less than NY. I know people who have commuted to keep their NY job.

The regular BOE type agencies are paying in the 40-50 range an hour. They give a salary. It is possible that agencies who bill insurance pay more, but they usually pay only if the session occured.

OP people are all talk. Dont know anywhere that pays 75$ an hour in NJ.
Not even in NY. YVY pays 65$ if you push for it

I work for a few EI agencies in NJ and get $75-$80 an hour. That’s on a 1099.

EI pays more. But you also have to travel and constantly be switching your location.My friends in EI have a higher rate than me, but we make about the same give or take at the end of the month when you factor in travel time (even if your travel time is 5-15 min in between clients)

That’s not true. I own an agency and my newest therapists are paid $75 per hour. I go up to about $90 an hour. Insurance based in the schools. It’s not salaried, though.

I'm getting 68 from yvy as of January. They offered it to me out of the blue. This is on a W2. 1099 agencies give more but you pay more taxes so it evens out.

they gave me a hard time about asking for $65
my other friend for them is getting $62.pathetic
