Believe it or not but it might be he's teething already 🙊 I guess you can confirm this with ur pediatrician

He's just figuring out what his body can do. Unless he's seriously congested or otherwise showing symptoms of pain, he's fine and and exploring the world.

Sticking the tongue out is a very normal behavior for a 3 month old. Teething is totally a process, so you might not see anything for a while. Your baby may also be exploring things with his/her tongue. Everything will be going in or near the mouth in the next couple of months as this area is highly sensitive. In the meantime, make sure to take some very cute photos.

All my kids did it, some from as young as 6 weeks. It’s just part of discovering their bodies.

Thank you all so much for your replies… I thought if it would be low muscle tone it would be done from birth. But this is a new thing for him. B”H not congested…

I really think it’s normal! So funny that the first few replies made it sound like a bad thing. It’s adorable! I love seeing my baby’s tiny tongue.

I didn't make it sound like it's bad! I just told her that that can be an option!

Is baby sticking out tongue or doesn’t tongue seem to not fit in the mouth? If it’s the second then I wouldn’t worry much unless baby meets some of the criteria https://www.childrenshospital......drome

Couldn’t it mean that the infant is hungry?
