How intense was college for social work (interested in working with children perhaps as a play therapist)

So then your question is about graduate school
I didn’t find it particularly intense but I also wasn’t married and didn’t have kids when I did it. If you do I imagine it will be intense to do it all, and of course without being paid

If you have a bachelors in psychology or social work then it should be easy since most of the graduate work is a repeat of the undergraduate work. If you have a bachelors in social work already then you can do a one year masters in social work and skip most of the repeat classes. If you have a bachelors in psychology or took a lot of psychology classes as an undergraduate then try to find a masters program that will let you test out of the classes you already took so that you shouldnt have to repeat them otherwise it will be boring but make life easy for you as you already know the material. The internships that you typically have to do for about 21 hours a week (may be both years or only one year depending on program) on top of the regular classes can be intense depending on where you are placed. Best to be in your own therapy so that you have a better understanding of your own triggers and issues so that it shouldnt come out with clients.
