My daughter is going through a withholding bowel movements phase. We are following the doctor’s method of dealing with it. We have a regiment with laxatives and suppositories but she hates them and screams through the process. We had a rough two days and today she was a bit lethargic with low fever. Can they possibly be connected or is she coming down with something and it’s just a coincidence? Don’t want to drive the doctor crazy and bother him yet again unless I have to.

Could be unrelated (most probably), but could also be an infection caused by injury due to hard bowel movement scratching intestines.
