1. Hand sanitizer takes out pen marks from laundry

2. Dirty dishes clean better in a Bosch dishwasher then rinsed dishes. What a game changer!!

Your turn.

Would this hold true for any dishwasher

It seems so. I have a Frigidaire that's 7-8 years old and that is the case. There's a sensor that makes the machine work harder when dishes have grease.
Dirty doesn't mean glued on.

This doesn't work on my mom's 30 year old dishwasher.

Yes. Per my appliance repairman, I should never rinse my dishes before putting in my dishwasher. He said I should remove any actual lumps and pieces that are not dissolvable and will clog water holes, but that I should leave the actual grime on the dishes because the way dishwasher soap works, is that it is enzyme activated on the actual food, grease etc. It literally works better when there is food residue on the dishes.

My dishes come out sparkling clean since I started listening to him. Even the ones that were caked with cholent!

Dawn dishwashing soap is a fantastic stain remover especially for grease and oil stains on clothes.

And I agree with the OP, my dishwasher cleans greasy containers better than any hand washing I could have ever done. I used to toss all my disposable plastic containers. Now I run them through the dishwasher and re-use , it’s a game changer

Any alcohol will work, you can use rubbing alcohol as well, this works on leather couches also.

Would this dishwasher trick (my mind is blown!) also work if I serve meatballs and spaghetti for dinner tonight, and don’t run the dishwasher until tomorrow night, or only if it’s run right away?

(Thinking about cakes on chulent on Motzai Shabbos dishes!)

Magic eraser will remove crayon scribbles off of your floor (vinyl tile and hardwood).
My DD (babysitting her little cousin whose parents were on vacation) found this out last week. Like, the minute she turned her back to change the baby and put on his pj's.

Magic eraser does quite alot of things and should be present in every house. It will scrub grease off the hood over your oven, will easily clean your tile backsplash, will clean scuff marks off your walls. It's a great product.

And pumice stones (I like with handles) are like magic erasers for toilets. We have hard water and get awful looking buildup. Pumice stones take it all off!
