will it ruin if I wash on hand wash/ delicate cycle?

If it has a lining, don't do it. It will never fit or lay the same way again.

I wouldn't. The problem is not the fabric itself but the tailoring details: lining, interfacings, shoulder pads and so on. They may shrink or shift, and glued or heat-fused parts may separate. Also: never launder OR dry-clean only part of a suit. Subtle color changes can occur, usually fading but sometimes color bleed or color acquisition from other items in the same load. You wouldn't notice them if you processed all the pieces together, but if you did only one piece of a suit, the other pieces may no longer be a perfect match.

I did many times it in front loader on hand wash cycle, hung out to dry worked out fine . But one jacket did get misshaped.

I wash my my boys' suits in the washer all the time. Both my older son and younger are from H&M - never had an issue

I've washed suits on delicate and hung to dry and they were just fine. I've also just washed suit pants without the jacket and could not tell the difference.

I machine wash all my husbands jackets on delicate. Never seen one get ruined.

I wash them on most delicate cycle but NO spin, it's the spinning that causes shrinkage.

They write dry clean only but mostly that is meaningless.

Have done it many times and always comes out well. Inside out on a cold delicate hand wash with the lowest spin speed possible. Suits come out clean and without all the chemicals of dry cleaning
