At least their kids are somehow perfectly behaved and either at school or in bed while all the drama is taking place 😆

I mean do you not think Esti has enough going on, between the family drama, financial issues, threat of her husband potentially in hot water with the law, and her marriage basically over?! Why would you wish difficult kids on her too?! Shame on you LOL Tongue Out

Continuation of conversation with Mimi and Ari. Eli 'now it effects you you're not concerned about keeping the peace?' But they're just Dina won't listen we need to stand united against her. She either takes the uncles offer (buys the house in uncle's name) or takes a bigger mortgage and lives in the basement. Ari wants Esti in the meeting too (he's the only one bothered about her) and they'll meet with Dina tonight.

I might be a lone voice so no tomatoes please (gosh can't believe I'm saying this it's fiction for goodness sake!) but I'm quite impressed with Mimi.
She admits that she didn't see Dina's control until it was directed at her. Not quite an apology but it's something.
And Ari said he saw it all along but couldn't convince Mimi.
It'll be easier for Esti now that it's not just 'her against the Beckman's'.

Esti will be extremely hurt that when she spoke to Eli he didn’t wanna listen to her and now when Mimi and Ari say all the things Esti did till now he just goes along with it. Esti will be done yelling about the Beckmans but she’ll be devastated about her husband not caring about her

Yep he's been awful to her throughout and had his chance when she gave him the ultimatum to reassure her that of course you're more important to me than Dina but didn't take it.

Since then Dina has stolen the silver whilst accusing him of trying to do the same, tried to find things he's done illegally (not sure how this would help her) and tried to go after Mimi and Ari's home.

Yet his still trying 'to keep the peace'. But not with his wife.

I am the last psn to ever advocate divorce, but IRL, this is when you separate from a husband until he learns his priorities.
Your wife & children are ALWAYS first. Esti isn't asking for money, she just wants her husband back.

It's horrible. He has been horrific to her.

Well they should at least be going to marriage therapy. Then at least they could communicate for more than 2mins.

Idk I was not impressed with her at all. Made me so mad when she said “Esti doesn’t have to be at the meeting”
Good for Ari when her said “So I don’t have to be there either”
I think I have a crush on Ari

Me too, think Ari's great!
Shame he took so long to come out of the woodwork.

I'm not impressed at all. A minute later she doesn't want Esty to be part of the meeting and only agrees because otherwise Ari won't join either. The whole family has messed up. Dina, Eli, Mimi, even their mother.

Anyone who has an controlling/abusive person in their lives will know how this can happen.
They are very convincing, and manage to get everyone to see things their way.
Often a bystander who is not intimately involved can see things are off but are scared to get involved lest the abuser makes their life miserable. They instinctively know this.

Eventually when the penny drops it's often too late to repair the damage.

I think it'll end well, in that Dina won't get her demands filled.
Kudos to Ari. Think he had his head screwd on all along but couldn't get past Mimi.
Eli is torn he just wants to please everyone but would've ended up pleasing noone. He's got no backbone.
Seems Ari's a straight shooter.

But let's wait...for Dina to kick herself for starting up with Ari.

It's gonna be her downfall.

Dina is not gonna win.

Her game is up.

I don't admire Ari at all. We never saw any backbone or care for another person until now, when he starts caring about himself. we did see him try to get out of things in a very early episode. Can't remember the details...

Anyone who knows anything about controllers will know how hard it is to stand up to them.
And he didn't have Mimi's backing.
I know this is fiction, but in real life controllers blame everyone and ruin the life of anyone who crosses them.
They are scary.
You see how often Eli seems to understand Esti, but as soon as Dina opens her mouth he's scared to say anything.
