We just got this text from the mayor:
🧑🏻🏫 Classes in Kyiv schools will resume on January 30 after the long winter vacation
97 percent of the capital's schools that have shelters will resume teaching in a mixed format - both online and offline. About 117,000 schoolchildren are expected to attend classes.
During the winter vacations, additional work was carried out to arrange shelters in educational institutions. So today, more than 189,000 people can shelter there - 42,000 more than at the beginning of the academic year.
The readiness of educational institutions for the second semester was also checked. Special attention was paid to schools damaged during air attacks. They are ready to receive students: the heating is connected, the staff has been instructed in case of new dangers. In addition, work was carried out to ensure a high-quality and uninterrupted connection to the Internet.
Thanks to the long winter vacation, metropolitan schools managed to save significantly on heating and electricity costs.

Kinda makes those covid shut-downs seem silly now.
