Can you all help me find oversized short sleeve designer t-shirts that dd tells me her classmates wear, that still cover their elbows?

Pretty please, can someone link a denim slip dress?
Preferably dark denim and preferably cheap 😔

No, this has no shape.
I got mine in fame. It has a really nice cut . It’s not spaghetti strap, more like a jumper.

That reminds me of growing up in the 90s except they weren’t exactly designer …

If you look at high end shops at the more expensive clothing, you begin to see patterns or trends.
What I am seeing: The florals are giving way to more swirly kinds of patterns, kind of paisley like but less sharply defined. The florals that are showing are a bit different. Not as busy, there is a lot of solid color material in between the flowers. So for instance, this D&G dress:https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p/dolce-gabbana-floral-print-belted-midi-shirtdress-prod256280330?childItemId=NMB7YRA_&navpath=cat000000_cat000730_cat7210731_cat82060731_cat31050731&page=0&position=32
The ruching has changed. There is much more draping of the material and also twist fronts. Like so:
https://www.neimanmarcus.com/p.....on=34
There are still ruffles, but they have changed. Much much more asymetrical ruffles, vertical ruffles, not really seeing as many multi-tiers or ruffles straight around the bottom. https://www.nordstrom.com/s/ru.....r=001
There are gorgeous pastels (no more brown cognac) like this dress: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/la.....r=331
I still see a little bit of micro pleating, but not really medium/large pleats in skirts. https://www.saksfifthavenue.co.....+SAGE
Lots and lots and lots of belted shirtdresses like so: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/la.....r=331
An interesting 90's trend is mixed prints. So there is something like this: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/tw.....r=367
I have a feeling that appliques will be making a comeback for wedding wear. I'm beginning to see it, and its something that would be right up the frum style.
There are still a lot of asymetrical hems, so handkerchief hems are there a lot and those kinds of difference would still be in style. https://www.saksfifthavenue.co.....BLACK or
https://www.saksfifthavenue.co.....BLACK or https://www.saksfifthavenue.co.....LIGHT
Overall, a lot of clean simple lines like this: https://www.nordstrom.com/s/st.....r=460
Anyway, not that I can afford any of this. And not that I even dress remotely like this. But I enjoy armchair fashion! FWIW, I recently went shopping in Junees and bought my daughter a bunch of outfits (I hate real shopping and try to do as much as possible as early as possible) that don't necessarily incorporate all this. Frum fashion is really really different and has its own more monochramatic look in general. You know, either its tan, black, or white. |
Dill, thank you for sharing. You have a wonderful way of explaining things. (and an unusual grasp of how
fashion works)

Yes, exactly! I have the dark denim. It has such a great cut. I wear it with cropped ribbed thin cardigans, baggy tees, long cardigans, button shirts which I tie at the waist ect. It’s so versatile. Good to know they made more color options! I think I’ll get another color.
I also have the black satin slip for Shabbos. It’s a satin type material so it’s more dressy. Same amazing cut.

Oak here!
-This is what I’m leaning toward for FW 23
Bold colors in rich fabrics (think deep pink satin and velvet, emerald green, jewel tones)
-Still doing slip skirts
-oversized tweed
-baggy with baggy outfits (think long loose sweater with a line midi skirt and chunky boots)
-Ruching
-Sherpa
-pearl accessories
-small purses
-kitten heels (Ik many will not go for this one 😅)
And Honorable mention: Not in the frum world but Mary Jane heels and crew socks are having a moment
