Hi I work in the industry
Florals are out
Solids are in
Chiffon is out
Linen and satin are in as well as light knits
Shirred it on its way out
Tailored looks and classic cuts are coming back in
Midi is still in
Knee length not so much
Neutrals and interesting patterns are in
Small prints and color block is out
Pleats out on they’re way out

This is great news for anyone who’s a larger size.
Flowy, thin dresses look terrible on figures like mine!

Were on our 3rd page of this discussion, and I believe only 3 links were posted.

Where are all the fashion connoisseurs who follow high quality frum Instagram accounts and fashion websites?

Is it totally off for a chassidish ish (not belonging anywhere specific) to wear a denim dress in the summer?

Doesnt Freunds who caters mostly to Chassidish clientele, sell conservative styled denim clothing?

Thanks 😊
I don’t think floral is a no go I think it looks nice but if your looking for the newest thing it’s not floral
I also would say that junees isn’t the place to go for the newest thing they tend to stick to a similar style for at least 3 years and then move on…

For the person who asked about how do designers choose the new styles- It’s a combination of looking at what the world is doing, and demand from the frum world
We see what’s needed my frum women and kind of get a feel of what people like and then also look into the current collections of not Jewish designers to give people tznius options of current fashion. Designers I personally look at are Michael Kors, Ganni, Victoria Beckham, Dior.. things like that

Can you share more please?
Are maxis still in or just midis?
Solid tops and printed skirts are out?
Can you give an example of a classic in everyday outfit?

I've seen a woman wearing and thought it looked unrefined Sad

I think it depends on the shade and style a lot.

I would love a denim dress because it doesn't show sweat marks unlike other materials.

Denim is super in for kids. I wear denim for casual maxis at home and in the country but not so much for more formal outfits

My fashion radar for when a trend is out is when it’s coming from my nose.

Floral dresses and skirts are soooo overdone I can’t look at them anymore. That’s how I know they’re on their last legs. (I feel the same about pleated midi and maxi skirts.)

Personally I think everything is in. You could wear whatever you want and still be fashionable.
I never go according to the trendy styles. I buy what I like and what I like my kids in.
People always comment on my outfits and kids outfit choices how pretty they are, and how I know how to shop well.
You just need confidence and buy what you like. Trends won't make something ugly become pretty. It will label you as someone who runs after every trend vs somebody who shops what she likes and wants.

I don't care about being trendy but nobody wants to be outdated. Some super popular in their time looks will look extremely dated once that trend has passed and will just look dowdy.
If you were classic stuff always you can avoid it.
