How long is too long for 2 year old to fall asleep?

He babbles in his crib for 30-45 minutes most nights. Is that too long? When he’s really tired he can fall asleep right away.

Sounds normal and healthy. Good for him that he babbles to himself until he's asleep. Self soothing is a wonderful skill that he will always need in life!

My toddler does the same. It's the cutest! Sometimes she can be singing for 2 hours. As long as she's happy it's fine.
I put her to bed at 8pm so it's definitely not too early.
I find that the nights I tire her out before bed, like jump with her, make her run down the hallway many times, all in a fun way, she falls asleep much quicker.
