Anyone out there with such kids? How do you build resilience without damaging them?

Dd can not handle the slightest criticism...

In general, how can I help my child feel more secure and less overwhelmed by the world around her?

Not being able to handle criticism or feedback is a sign of a nervous system stuck in fight flight. You need to figure out why it's like that and then address those causes.
