This was the first R-rated movie I ever saw in my upper upper teens. The music (Hans Zimmer!!) and story are very moving, and of all the R-rated movies, this is better than many of them, but I think 13 is way too young.
Off the top of my head: Very very gory, bloody violence (including festering wounds); the villain is implied to have an incestuous desire for his sister; several instances of 4-letter words.

I don’t recall much female nudity, if that’s your concern.
Male bodies in various states of undress (many of them bloody), yes.
