I'm in need of a new school for my son with behavioral issues. He's grade level but has a hard time in school due to his behavior/adhd. Lower elementary more modern. Any ideas of a school that might work for him?
L'Gadel is a yiddish speaking self-contained program
Ashar might have a T-class...worth reaching out to them I think...
Would you consider a mainstream school setting with a push in para overseen by a BCBA?
Would your child qualify for ABA services (he would need an ASD diagnosis or the BCBA would need to be paid out of pocket)?
You can also reach out to Tova Wacholder- she is the director of Yahalom NY (a division of Agudas Yisroel)

Yes, it should be a mainstream school. Just something a little more easygoing that they'd be able to deal with him and accept and work with him.
Ashar has a T class, or had one as of a couple of years ago. There's also Eitz Chaim (Skill Building Center). I know kids from Monsey who travel to NJ to Sinai Academy and have had tremendous success there.

Thank you. Do have any more info on sinai academy? Is it for kids that are academically on grade level?
