Do most of you in the UK have private medical insurance? If yes which one are you on? I am getting no where with the GP surgery on NHS and feel I need to go private at least have that option. I needed a referral and my GP wouldn’t give it….

Hi OP if u look in the UK/EU forum u will see this was discussed so will get more info.
We have Bupa. Cost for our family is £4000. I would rather eat beans on toast all year than give it up. Having said that, we barely use it, but it gives me peace of mind.
Could u see a different GP at your practice?

We have axa health but we only have it because it comes with my husbands work benefits. They are amazing tho!

I am looking into it and so far Aviva looks good. Just FYI if you take out insurance, it won't cover you for your existing issue as you would be classed as a pre existing medical condition.
