I am only two episodes in, but omg I want to live there. That is the kind of town of my literal dreams. Please, tell me this show stays this good?

It stays good but they uncover a lot of dirt of course. I want to live in a town like that but without the drama please!

I love Virgin River. I read the books first and I was happily surprised that the show was equally good.

I enjoyed it very much. Unfortunately, I don't have Netflix anymore so I haven't seen the latest season. After my baby, when I'll be nursing a lot, I'll reinstate my Netflix and catch up.

What's it about?
Is the show same story as the book?

This is such a great show, I am waiting for the next season! I love their lifestyle, calm, everyone knows each other, all the nature.

It's literally my dream to live in that kind of place. I've done the small, just a minyan size, no frum conveniences kind of community so I know what it's like. If there are nine other families who want to retire to a place like this, I will be there!!

Mine too! I would love to live in a small town with nature, smaller communities are friendlier than larger ones.

There's a whole entire series! Robyn Carr is one of my favorite authors.

The TV show combines plots from the first five books or so.

The books are great, and definitely want to make you live in Virgin River. If you haven't read them, but love the TV show you definitely should, especially book 1, aka Virgin River, which is Mel and Jack's story.

Robyn Carr has a lot of other books that are great as well. Once you are done the Virgin River series check out the Sullivan's Crossing books. I believe a TV series is in the works for that series as well.

I also enjoyed it.
For those looking for something similar I would recommend sweet magnolias

Also love the show. Sherryl Woods books are also similar and good-she has 2 tv series based on her books-steel magnolias and Chesapeake shores. Although I always find it hard to love a book series and then watch the tv series and see them change so many details.
Debbie Macomber's Cedar Cove is also small town living. And also has a tv series as well as a book series.
Another older tv series I liked was Everwood.
I love reading/watching a series and getting to know the different characters and for them to each develop their own story.
