I love Purim. I know there's a lot of kvetching, but I want to talk about the positives.
It took me a while to find my stride. But I love the happiness, the costumes, the going over (even in traffic) and giving and visiting friends and family.
We're having a huge Purim Seuda by me with lots of friends and family. I love the noise and laughter.
Yes there will be a lot of mess and tons to clean and off schedule.
But I've learned to let go, find the good and love the day. I wake up very early, daven at the vasikin minyan so I'm not rushing to catch up.
What do you love about Purim?

I love going to neitz megillah. It's the highlight of my day.
As an introvert I find the day of Purim very overwhelming but there are still nice parts. I love seeing little kids so excited by their costumes, I like creative mishloach manos, I love the Purim music on the street.

I love my children's bright faces, the yummy food and candy (Go for it kid!!), the atmosphere (Baltimore) of Jews celebrating our survival!

I love the happiness of it!!!
I love the kids excitement, the creative cooking, the creative costumes, how nice and elegant the mishloach manos look when I finish wrapping, etc.
I love bringing MM to people and seeing their faces light up.
And of course the kedusha of the day.

I love stomping my foot during Megillah at the name of Haman. It fills me with a childlike joy and as an adult I concentrate that HaShem should really erase our Amaleki enemies.

I've grown tired of stomping my foot. It gets a bit uncomfortable. This year I want to go full child and make my own gragger--my toddlers have shown me how easy it is to do.

I love that my kids love it!
Personally for me it’s a lot of work and chaos but I give them a good time.

I love purim!
1) I get to use my creativity in service of a mitzvah.
2) I get to enjoy other's costumes (not me, I don't like dressing up)
3) I love megilla
4) we always have seudah with good friends
5) we spend all morning delivering mishloach manot and it is so fun to visit people and enjoy giving
6) I love seeing other people's creative ideas and feeling the love of receiving mm
Everything. It is the perfect chag.

My top ten reasons for loving Purim:
10. It's only one day so it's not majorly disruptive.
9. There's no issur melacha so we can use the elevator, microwave, automobile, phone, etc.
8. It's easy to pronounce.
7. It's easy to spell and there's no nonsensical divisiveness over how to spell it.
6. It's easy to explain to secular Jews and nonJews.
5. We fast the day before which allows us not to feel guilty when...
4. ...We get GOODIES!
3.The top hero is a WOMAN!
2.Humor and comedy are not only permitted but encouraged.
and, for the gold..........

My husband is in chinuch he is busy 24-7 he has a line in shul…. It’s sometimes hard for me. Then comes Purim and I get to watch an outpouring of love and giving. Every talmid who shows up (most) is so appreciated. Every parent who makes the effort gives me such Chizuk to go on with my personal korban tzibbur.
Oh and the food - we do a buffet of delicious things.
The whole house glows with a Yiddish simcha
And no idk who gives a Check
I do know who bothers to nod at me,

I enjoy the Megilla and no matter how many times I hear it, it's fascinating.
I enjoy bringing smiles to people's faces with our shticky themes - though it's a challenge to come up with them every year.
I love seeing kids dressed up and happy, we prepare a lot of Shalach monos (cheap ones but cute and respectable ) so we can give everyone who comes and no one feels hurt especially kids.
