obviously if you are not lubavitch...
I never even thought about it and have bought meat from their shechita, but then my DD came home from school and said something like "we don't eat their meat and they don't eat our meat".....can someone please explain.
I have also seen other chassidish shechita in the store, is that the same?

I know many who don’t because of the certain ideals that are controversial, which we can’t discuss.

Satmar is the only shechita (and milk) that some lubavitchers won't eat. Not for kashrus but because of history. Ask someone in real life for the details.

There are people who won’t eat Satmar, those who won’t eat Lubavitch, those who won’t eat Bais Yosef, those who won’t eat Empire, etc etc…
Lots of it is politics based. Little of it is done because of knowledge of WHY the choice is being made.
There are many Lubavitchers who will ONLY eat with Lubavitcher Hechsherim. That is part of a very old custom of eating from shechitah from one’s own community. The rule can be applied to any person who wants to eat from Shechitah from their own community. Minhagim and personal practices of the shochtim, some of the steps of shechitah and kashering. etc

This is not accurate. Lubavitchers eat shechitah from their own hechsher. They don’t eat OU meat, or other Chasseedishe meat, or any hechsher that wouldn’t meet CRC standard.

As someone who only eats lubavitcher shechita but my own husband and father eat other chassidish ones, yes it's accurate.

Absolutely!! It’s available in many many places.
As I’m sure you know, Lubavitchers live all over the place and most lubavitchers are particular to only eat Lubavitch shechita.

I don't, yeshivish. We were told because some of the shechting is done by people who are mishechus.

No we dont. Yeshivish out of town. I have no reason to eat it since there are plenty of other options and we prefer empire or KJ for chicken.

There is actually a difference in the shchita with chabad. The knives are different. It isn't just political-- there is a halachic difference there. I would prefer to not use it but in my city it is impossible due to political reasons LOL . Chabad controls a lot here... and is very bossy/picky. And no I am not in Crown Heights. Just a big frum community outside NY.
