My baby is 4 months now, and is working on rolling from back to front. (He got it a couple of times, but I say working because he’s not proficient and it’s not something he really does on purpose frequently yet) until now, I’ve been swaddling him when he sleeps, either with a blanked or with a Velcro swaddle thing.
I want to move from arms tucked to arms not tucked, because I know it’s dangerous for them to be tucked when he knows how to roll.
Here’s where I need help. I never did this for my other kids- none of them liked being swaddled. There are so many products out there, I don’t know what to choose!! With arms. No arms. A sack. Separate slots for each leg…..
Anyone have any suggestions?

Loves to Dream makes a transitional sleep sack with arms that are removable, to get baby used to having their arms free over the course of a few days.
I use their arms up swaddle from about 1 month old, so it's the perfect transition for my babies. If your baby has been swaddled in a very different position, it may not work for him.

He’s been swaddled with his arms in the swaddle from birth.

We had the best luck with the Merlin suit. The weight of it, I guess, seemed to help baby relax.

Yes, but I wouldn’t get the fleece one unless baby’s room is very cold. They make one with a cotton outer and that was more than enough warmth for our dd. She usually slept with just a onesie and socks under it and our room was usually 66-68 at night.

Honestly? I don’t even know where it came from!! I don’t think I bought it, maybe someone gave it to me? I’ll look at the brand in the morning and post it for you, and if I can find a link I’ll post that too.
It’s keaBaby
This is the link on Amazon, but I didn’t get it there. I think someone must have given it to me.

Here’s the link to the swaddle, I’m very happy with it. It has a double zipper for diaper changing without taking off the swaddle from the top and option to keep hands opened or closed (like fold over mittens)

Shouldn’t their arms not be inside once they can roll?
