Which size should I buy for a 7lb newborn? 3 or 6 month? ordering online and he needs clothing so no time to order and do exchanges.

If you’re ordering from a place like carters- there is a newborn size. It’s for 6-8 lbs and is more appropriate for a newborn than 0-3 months.

I’d get some
Newborn size and some 0-3 months.
Different clothing fits differently, depending on length of the baby, also they grow very quickly. Often only wearing the newborn size for a few weeks.

Get 0-3. It’s a bit bigger than newborn. 3-6 will be big, but he’ll grow into it quickly!

My kids were born at 7 lb and wore Carter's newborn for anywhere from 1-3 weeks, and then 0-3 for like another 2 months

Depends where u order from! Frum brands need to size up as opposed to carters and H&M which are generally TTS.

If you have a smaller baby, 0-3m swims on them. It’s worth it to get a new cheap newborn outfits. 7 lbs is just a little guy. My babies didn’t fit into 0-3 until the end of the first month and 3-6 until 3-4 months or so.

My son was 6lb 10oz when he was born. He wore newborn and/or 1m. Now, at 4 months, he’s still on the small side (between 11-12lbs) and he is wearing 0-3m.

I got a few 3 months and the rest 6 months. They outgrow the 3 months so fast. I don't like buying new ones every 2 months. I bought those nice thingies to put on the ankle to keep the footie in place.

Who has koach for newborn outfits? My kids wear newborn Carters sleepers/pajamas for the first month.

Having something too large on a baby is a suffocation risk and SIDS risk.

I don’t know about others, but when I say an outfit for a newborn I mean a stretchie.
