I don't know which one is accurate. Are there any plastic 1-2 cup liquid measuring cups that are definitely accurate?

Are they from different countries? The standard volume of a cup (and a tablespoon) varies from one country to another.

I don't know why, but the fact is that they are. It's probably historically based on the standard cup in those countries.
For a few examples of standard cup sizes:
US Customary 236 ml
US Legal 240 ml
Metric (US, Australia, New Zealand) or International 250 ml
Korea/Japan 200 ml
UK 283 ml
Canada 227 ml
If you Google, you can find plenty more examples.
The most accurate recipes weigh the dry ingredients and measure the volume of the wet ingredients in ml, without using cups as a measuring tool.

Fascinating. Why don't they all use the same, it's so confusing.
