My husband prefers shabbos chicken soup without any vegetables. He wants the chicken flavour and not a vegetables soup/flavour.
Which chicken part gives the most flavour.
I can't really afford using a whole chicken just for the soup.
And how many of it would you use?

You can use chicken bones. I use about 3 lbs for a 12 quart pot. If you add a chicken leg or two it will taste even more chicken-y.
You can also make a soup with only chicken wings and no vegetables, some people think it’s the best flavor. See recipe here https://smittenkitchen.com/201.....tock/ Most important is to cook for at least 4-6 hours.

Chicken bones in a net and turkey dark meat. I usually get a pack of drumsticks and skin them. Also chicken soup doesn’t taste like vegetables. But they all add to the taste. I wonder if your husband will even like what he’s asking for.
