a decent potato for potat kugel?
I ordered in sainsburys and ocado, vivaldi, king edward , rooster, maris piper
binned everything.

What wasn’t good about them? I usually use white potatoes from Sainsbury’s costs around £1.30 for a big bag and kugel comes out perfect.

Omg Op this has been my issue for months
I am nearly in tears every week from the color of my potato kugel
Don’t know where you live , but I am desperate here in NY
W/ plain old Yukon potatoes, I had beautiful & creamy potato kugel
Now it’s just a memory 😂😂🙈🙈🙈
SOS anyone can help !!!!

am I meant to look for baking potatoes? are those better for kugel?
I just saw now vivaldi baking potatoes - I bought the vivaldi white potatoes is baking better?
I dont know why it never came up on the web before when I searched I only now saw 2 diff types

Yes, they're the best in my opinion. My kugel stays a white, yellow color and its delicious.

Vivaldi!
My potatoe kugel is golden and so moist on the inside. I barely even add oil because the potatoes are so creamy
