Apparently the children and grandchildren found it a great activity to throw random food items into the hole - which was hollow. At bedikas chometz they noticed nosh peeking out of the hole. They had to break the wall near the floor to empty it all out. What a fun erev Pesach project!

Sorry to nitpick, but I highly doubt that breaking the wall was needed.

Moving fridges and stoves are not required halachically, even if many do move them to clean beneath.

I removed my Nespresso machine from my counter . It sits in the corner behind a corner sink. We clean the machine all the time but never move it. Lo and behold behind the machine was what once was a bag filled with pita . It was a bag of black mold . Probably there for many months and it was hiding.
