Don't know where you are in Brooklyn, but in Flatbush (the New oot!) , almost everyone continued with natives. My girls wouldn't hear of floafers lol, not gonna say what they said about it as not to insult anyone.

Didn’t read the entire thread, but they are being sold in Brooklyn stores. My daughter tried it on and for her the fit of the floafers was better. If you’re the type to pay shipping and purchase without knowing if it fits well, go ahead. Personally, I think you should try them on in a store before buying the first time.

Personally, I think it's sweet for little kids, but looks rather impractical.
I feel defeated because I just got the cheap floaters first time for my daughter, and thrilled to finally be in fashion. It's annoying to see everyone jump into the next fashion bandwagon.
Btw I live in Lakewood and my kids are dressed fashionably for the most part |
