Are there actual statistics here or are we just making assumptions and running with that.
Because my teens are shortish because both their OOT parents are short.
They all have plenty of tall friends- boys between 6 and 6'5" and girls between 5'7" and 5'11".

Also, the op says shorter so I'm wondering shorter than who?
KJ? Boro park? Israel? London?
Before we identify the problem and solution, let's first identify the fact

I’m 5’1”, my brother is 6’2”. We’re from OOT.

And before we can claim it's because of a sedentary lifestyle or wearing too much clothes.
Because compared to other places, true many Lakewood boys could have a more sedentary lifestyle. But compared to other communities, they're more active or the same.
So I just really want op to finish that sentence. Are Lakewood people shorter than who?.....

I dont think the Lakewood water was affected, or even if it was it affected the height of anyone - especially Jews that have moved into area in more recent year, but.... there have been a series of lawsuits over the years for the public water in Toms River, which was highly contaminated in the past. I think I read it one of the Jewish magazines a little while ago. You can google it as there are many articles online about it too.
