Yes. Especially when it hugs the body tightly. I don't know how women aren't embarrassed to go out like that.

I love satin dresses! I happened to try on at Jewish stores and found them to be lined and well made. I think the cheap ones you buy off shein’s website are thin and clingy, but some are really pretty!

Is "lingerie" a dirty word that we can't type out in full?

But she just said it...it's only a problem if it's in the title?

They are slip dresses. And they were originally lingerie. It’s like wearing long underwear in public.

They’re a fabric.
Some gowns are satin.
It’s an old fashioned look.
I don’t associate it with lingerie necessarily.
Lingerie is made of many types of fabric.
(If someone is wearing a satin slip dress I see what your saying, but the same goes for a figure hugging cotton sleeveless dress.)

Doesn’t have that connotation to me.
Do you think the same when you see someone wearing a lace outfit?

That is the intended look
I was very surprised to see frum women dressed like that
NJ soccer moms in sweatpants appear much more modest

I’m too fat to wear one but my dh did make a comment when he saw a relative wearing one.
He was like why is she wearing a slip as a dress?

I actually like some of them. Like the ones with flowers. It’s just not practical (I have a toddler) and I’d rather not get started on a trend that’s somewhat controversial.

I remember the first time I saw someone wearing a satin wrap dress. I thought she was wearing a kimono..
