What’s your family’s shiur for the arba kosos?

DH is of the opinion that most Ashkenazim hold by the Chazon Ish, which is 150cc/ 5.3 oz. That’s what his family holds.

I’ve been to a few years worth of non-family sedarim and don't recall anyone using cups that big.

So, what does your family hold and are you Ashkenazi or Sefardi? If you use larger cups, so you hold by drinking a rov kos?

My father always told the girls/ladies that we can do the smallest shiur while he himself used a bigger shiur (not totally sure what his Shiur was). Chassidish

We hold hold to drink rov kos of a 5 oz becher. We do grape juice and homemade grape juice (must). It's not that difficult. The little kids get smaller bechers.

I think in the US most non Chassidim, non sefardim hold by Rav Moshe tzl.

This is what I thought as well. Seems like every Seder I’ve been to the host is so excited about finding a cup that’s exactly the right shiur.

Lubavitch, Rav Chaim Noeh. We bought Duralex glasses that are slightly larger. I think they are 3 1/8 oz. Easy to wash/maintenance free, no rust/pitting if not rinsed immediately like silver or other metals, and durable so I don't have to worry about little kids using them. They aren't the most elegant but their practicality makes it totally worth it at this stage in my life.
My husband uses a nice silver one he got as a gift for his bar mitzvah. It is probably 5 oz.

The first time we made Pesach was during covid, and the only wine glasses I could find were Chazon Ish, so that's what we use. (I refused to buy disposables for the Seder.)

We don't hold that that is the required shiur, but we do hold by a full cup. I keep meaning to look for smaller wine glasses, but so far it hasn't been a priority.

Smaller shiur, Ashkenazi. I know very few people who use the Chazon Ish shiur. Your husband and I clearly travel in different circles.

On the other hand, if this is what he grew up with, I don't think it's fair to ask for a change. If he's trying to change the family tradition, though, I would hold the line.

It came up because I wanted to buy a set of new cups for his family and the 5.5oz sold out so I wanted him to check if I could get the 4oz. The answer was “sure, it’ll be nice to have a smaller cup for the 3rd & 4th.”

4 Oz is our minhag, but I started going by Rav Noeh when I was diagnosed with diabetes.

We also hold by Chazon Ish shiur and I thought that was pretty common, surprised to see such a low percengate.

I'm not from the US though.

We learned it's better to drink the whole kos of a smaller shiur than to drink rov kos of a larger shiur. So I try to use a smaller becher.
