If headbands don't stay on

What do you do with your little girls hair on shabbos if headbands and bows don't stay put? It drives me crazy when their hair is messy. Ages 7 and under.

I do a pony rubber with the bow (alligator clip) on top covering it. The clip is not actually holding the hair so it (more or less…) stays put. And the hair stays neat even if the bow starts sliding.
Headbands I haven’t figured out yet.

My DD has never liked headbands. I make her a half pony with a ponytail holder.
