We live in Lakewood and we are sending a child to a camp in Colorado. If you have Jersey care then how does it work if god forbid he needs to see a dr. DO I need special insurancE?

Most insurances will cover out of state emergency visits. One of my kids landed in the emergency room from camp last summer and my (out of state) insurance covered the entire bill.

ER visits are covered. Urgent care is not.

The camp will likely take a credit card from you to charge any needed visits. They are not going to go to the ER if your child just needs an urgent care. Same for stitches, dental etc etc
