I have such mixed feelings.
On the one hand I'm grateful that UBS took over.
On the other hand, I'm still nervous that we cannot breathe a sigh of relief.
I have no complaints to the Federal Council (Bundesrat). They really did find the best possible solution under the given circumstances.
But what about the other banks, what about all the CS- employee's, what about Switzerland's bank account, and the taxes and...

Please specify in your reply, if your american, european or israeli.

The outlook / mentality will be vastly different.
Americans are more high risk then old steady european.

I jusy can't wrap my brain around the fact, that such an old stable bank with it's reputation failed.

The entire world is connected. You can't truly separate one bank from another.

I am furious at the deal. I want to know why the Bund itself didn't take over the bank. They could have done that, held it for a few years and sold at a profit. Instead they gave the bank to UBS practically for free - 3 billion for a bank that has more than that in real estate alone. The bank is worth over 15 billion.

Now we have a behemoth of a bank (UBS) that was enabled to become that with my money, and will steamroll all the smaller banks.
