Is if safe? It's not so nice here where I live snd I worry about the smell, especially when my almost 2 year old needs naps...my family lives far away. Thoughts?

Can one parent tale the kids out and the other stay home while it's running? Just run the shortest self clean cycle. It's not terrible but it does have a strong smell. I try to keep everyone outside if I can.

It’s a strong smell but it’s safe. I run it at night and everyone’s home.

Open all windows & keep kids away from immediate vicinity of oven.

We try to do it on a nice day, open all the my windows, run the exhaust fan, and spend some time outside. My rabbi also said this year that you don't have to run it for the whole cycle-- it just needs to get to that hottest temp for a little while. But ask your LOR.

Open windows. Kitchen should be well ventilated.

Don't do when you're sleeping or not home because I know ppl whose oven started a fire during self clean

Self-cleaning cycles are not safe for birds, so I wouldn't want an infant or toddler in the kitchen when running it.

Turn on the hood fan, open windows, and yes, somebody should be home when doing this. I find that most fumes burn off in the first hour of the cycle.
