Our guests canceled. My kids are disappointed that we won't have guests for first days Pesach. I was thinking that since we have the room and we'd love to host, we can invite families in our neighborhood that need a place or just want to get out for the sedarim and/or meals. (We don't have sleeping room for a couple.) I know it's very close to Pesach but maybe there's an organization in Lakewood that would know of people in our neighborhood that can be our guests?

There's Sister to Sister.
Maybe also ask around - singles or families who don't go away for Yom tov and live in a walking distance.

I don't know whom to ask. We live in a huge development but I hardly know anyone...

Do you know the number for Sister to Sister?

So nice! For my kids also, it's not shabbos or YT without guests. We live in a community with lots of singles/single parents so there are always ppl to invite.

My single friend is looking for somewhere to go that she can help out and be a part of things. Sad that her family situation is not great so she can't live at home. Yom tov is so hard for her

I thought about doing that but when I drafted it, it came out sounding condescending. I'd never want anyone to feel that we're doing them a favor by hosting them--we WANT company! I think maybe I'll call the rav in the morning and ask.

Why not just post-

Hi! We'd love to host guests for x meals over YT. Please PM if you know someone who would appreciate an invite!

Or yes, ask the rav if he knows anyone who needs.
