Is someone who charges a lot of money to cut a wig less likely to mess it up then someone who charges less money?

Someone who charges more is usually more experienced. That’s how they can charge more.
You can find newbies who are great at cutting.
But, experience-wise is definitely the more expensive one.

Ask for references, as always. It does make a difference if it’s a straight cut or very layered.

Nope.
A very “up there” sheitel macher ruined my brand new wig and took zero responsibility.
2 very new ones did fantastic jobs on my cuts and thus formed a new relationship for becoming my decade long sheitel machers.
