We don't have an appropriate option where we live so he goes away. This is his second year and I've been depessed since the first year wondering whether this is all worth it. I just don't think we are the family type to send kids away for school and yet here we are. I know plenty do it. Anyway, wishing there was another way. DS is not in love with his school but he is doing well. We have other kids at home who are doing fine where they are. Just wanting some commiseration maybe?

That sounds so hard I don't think I would deal with it well either. This is the baby you raised that you never get to see, of course that's difficult for the mother

I know families who moved time and time again for chinuch.
