Will use sink inserts and cover counter tops. Anything special for cleaning them? Do I need to pour boiling water? Do I need to wait 24 hours before using them?

We were told to pour boiling water and thats it.
I try not to use for 12 hours.
then I do that and then cover.

Thanks. What do you wash with? Ajax?

I use clorox spray for the sink, drain & faucet and fantastic for the countertops.
