Is this a fashion faux pas? I am overweight and have a hard time finding flattering clothing right now. I found a top that really suits me. Is it weird if I get 2 different colors of the same thing? It's not like a ribbed tee that comes in 25 colors, more like dressier weekday/wear to work clothes.

If I find a good top I buy it in 2-3 colors. Just don't wear one day after the next

I do that all the time. I don’t wear it back to back. And to be honest I don’t think most people even notice.

I'm not overweight but when I find the perfect top I'll just buy it in 2 different colors. Like another poster said, no one will even notice

FWIW, Jackie Kennedy used to buy basics in every color. Dozens, not two or three. If you find something you love, get it in as many colors as you can find, afford, and have room for.

I have a pair of heels in 3 colors that's how much I love then. I also love a specific type of shirt and have probably 6 colors haha. When I find something I like I buy every option!

All the time. I have 7 of the same skirt in a few colors, and I wear them with variations of the same top in different colors. And I’m not overweight, but I am old. Smile
