What's the p/t and f/t salary for this position.

I was offered a job as an executive assistant in an health care agency, but I dont know what the annual salary for such a position is. (I have 7 years of office experience)

I'm located in Brooklyn.

Anyone know how much I can ask?

For part time with experience in a frum brooklyn enclave those positions are paying approx. $35-$40 per hour.

Don't accept less than that. There are so many companies desperate for employees.

Ok great, thanks for replying.

I'm currently earning $42.50 as a secretary.

Some people told me I can easily ask for $60. I feel like that's too much to ask although I honestly think they can pay it (and I'm worth it).

Can anyone else add their opinion?

Why would anyone bother getting a degree with these salaries? 😳

I don't know anybody earning $60 or for for this kind of position, but definitely do your research! The job market has changed tremendously in the last two years and employee value is higher than ever. That's a good thing.

For career mobility, job satisfaction

In communities where few go to college, employees are judged based on skill, talent and experience and are paid accordingly.

Question, is this a job where you leave it at the desk or it comes home with you type?

I think you can ask for $60 and expect them to come back and/or settle for $50

Are they offering you substantially more than what your getting? Are you unhappy? Wht are you leaving?

Executive assistant is a very broad term. In some companies it means you are the boss's right hand woman and you are running half the company.
In other offices it is just a glorified term for a shlak shames.

It really depends on what kind of job you are actually doing.

This, I was referring to the first option. But I believe that’s what you’re talking about if they offered you the job, if it were just secretarial work they’d hire a graduate for $20.

Also worth noting that part time needs a higher hourly rate than full time, as it has to be worth it for you to take the job.

If they won’t pay you more per hour negotiate more benefits if there’sa possibility (paid health insurance, more PTO, etc)
