What are the options in this area for special ed schools? anyone who lives in Linden can advise?

Sinai. You actually have 2 potential Sinai options. Linden would be closer to the Kushner branch, but you could also make it work for the RYNJ branch.

Sinai is not a fit for a number of reasons but are there any other suggestions for programs that are smaller and can handle a child
With behavioral needs?

I don't know the public school options there but they definitely exist.
You looked into both Sinai schools? Those are basically the gold standard in that area of NJ. Teaneck has a school for language based learning disabilities also, but that doesn't sound like that you need.
There are some Jewish special Ed programs in Monsey, which will be about an hour, or Lakewood, also an hour.
