I liked Growing with my children by Sarah Schapiro and I like all the love and logic books.
I used to like How to talk so kids will listen, and listen so kids will talk.

Is that a parenting book or just tells you what to expect - like how to toilet train, what to expect during the "terrible twos" & stuff? Does it have techniques on how to take car of whatever and advice & suggestions?

I'm looking for a book that tells you how to deal with what you have, not necessarily to let me know what's coming.

Penelope Leach, Dr Sears, Dr Spock are all terrific classics. I especially like Leach.

I have also been wondering which books. What about the book "Partners in Parenting" I think it is. They have one for newborns and toddlers and one for older. There are SO many books out there I have no idea which one to even start looking at. Please, if you ahve any suggestions at all, please let me know!

I really liked Penelope Leach's book too. I like the growing with my children book- but that is more anecdotal than advice giving. what about the book by R' Wolbe- isn't that a parenting book? I forget what it's called. dr twerski wrote one with someone else that was pretty good. I have a whole bunch somewhere. if I find them- I'll post the names. I have no clue where any of my books are since we moved- many of them are still in boxes.
